A Rainy Getaway to Igatpuri

Sometimes all you need is a quick weekend getaway with your friends to recharge — and that’s exactly what we did with a fun-filled trip to Igatpuri.

Our group had people joining in from Jogeshwari, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. We took two cars — an i20 and a Hexa, packed with good vibes, snacks, and playlists ready to go.

🛣️ The Journey Begins

We started our journey early in the morning, leaving our respective homes around 7:00 AM. On the way, we took a quick halt for breakfast and some chai before continuing toward Igatpuri.

After a smooth drive through scenic greenery and light rain, we finally reached our destination at around 11:00 AM. Our stay for the night was a cozy villa called O2 Sunshine, which turned out to be the perfect retreat.

🏏 Cricket in the Rain & Villa Vibes

After freshening up, we jumped straight into action — turf cricket!
Although the turf was open-air and it was raining heavily, that didn’t stop us. We embraced the rain and kept playing — losing around 5 to 7 balls in the process 😄. But that only added to the fun!

The villa had plenty to offer:

• A private swimming pool

• Snooker table

• A fully-equipped kitchen in case we wanted to cook

• Spacious rooms and hangout spots

🍜 Food Breaks: From Chinese to Dhaba Delights

For lunch, we ordered a mix of Chinese dishes and rice, which was exactly what we needed after the game.

Dinner was at the popular Karizma Dhaba nearby. The food was absolutely delicious — rich flavors, great service, and an open setting. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Igatpuri.

🌊 Pool Time & Late-Night Chill

Our night ended (or maybe began) with an epic volleyball session in the pool. Imagine cool weather, light rain, and friends laughing while playing under the stars — it was the kind of night we’ll remember for a long time.

🛣️ Return Journey

The next morning, we left the villa around 9:00 AM and stopped for breakfast at Hotel Citizen Restaurant in Khardi.

The journey back to Mumbai wasn’t as smooth — heavy traffic slowed us down, and we finally reached home around 3:00 PM. But honestly, the memories made the delay worth it.

🎒 Final Thoughts

Our Igatpuri trip was short, rainy, and absolutely refreshing. From playing cricket in the rain to chilling in the pool and enjoying delicious food — it had everything you want in a perfect weekend trip.
